Earlier this month, the Academy of Radiology Leadership and Management awarded its first certificates of achievement to Amilcare Gentili, MD, and Lisa Lowe, MD, for completing 50 hours of education in topics such as financial skills, human resources, professionalism and contracting.
Formal leadership and management training is missing from medical school and residency, but these skills are increasingly necessary in today’s health care environment. The ARLM was created to give radiology professionals the opportunity to develop professionally.
