Combining AI advances and ergonomic innovation, the R20 ultrasound platform reportedly offers a variety of automated tools and design features to facilitate a smoother, efficient imaging workflow.

Incorporating sophisticated software beamforming to drive clarity and precision in imaging, the new R20 ultrasound device also features over a dozen artificial intelligence (AI) tools and an ergonomic design to facilitate ease of use.

The AI tools with the R20 ultrasound system, which will be unveiled at the upcoming RSNA annual meeting, emphasize automated measurements, diagnostic assistance and real-time exam guidance, according to Samsung Medison, the developer of the R20 ultrasound system.

Noting the dilemma of widespread sonographer pain, Samsung Medison pointed out that the R20 ultrasound platform meets established ergonomic guidelines and has achieved independent validation for ergonomic innovation.

“The R20 embodies our mission to elevate diagnostic imaging through purposeful innovation. Driven by close collaboration with clinicians, the R20’s technologies are designed as practical tools that make a real difference in how clinicians work, and patients are cared for,” said Tracy Bury, the chief commercial officer of Samsung Healthcare in the United States and Vice President of Global Growth Initiatives.
