Scitex Medical Systems isretooling its sales organization to give the company more marketingclout in the U.S. The Israeli firm, which markets a line of plain-paperprinters, has moved vice president Michael Braunold from corporateheadquarters in Herzlia, Israel, to the U.S. to oversee the company'sOEM and direct sales effort in North America.

Scitex of Fanwood, NJ, debuted the UniTone and VariTone printersat last year's Radiological Society of North America meeting (SCAN1/19/94). The printers are designed to produce hard-copy printsfor referring physicians at a price point between thermal printersand laser printers.

Scitex has OEM agreements with Picker, Philips and Diasonics,and several other OEM deals are pending. Scitex also plans todevelop a direct sales channel for UniTone and VariTone.
