Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, made a personnel shift this month when it appointed Steve Sickels to the post of senior director of its ultrasound unit. Sickels formerly served as business unit manager for the company’s MRI division, and prior to that led the vendor’s nuclear medicine unit. He fills a position left empty by Michael McLean, former vice president of ultrasound, who became vice president of full-line sales in December. Ross Heaton, director of ultrasound marketing at TAMS, will report to Sickels. A replacement for Sickels in the MRI division has not yet been named, according to a spokesperson for the company.
