Siemens Medical Systems has unveiled new additions to its Sienet archive pro-duct line. The new releases give Sienet increased performance, parallel archiving, and greater scalability in storage cap-acity, according to the Iselin, NJ-based company.
The MagicStore Classic software package manages, stores, and archives image data; it can run concurrently on multiple hardware units. The firm's MagicStore Classic hardware is modularly expandable, and, if necessary, multiple MagicStore systems can be installed, working seamlessly together in a physically distributed but unified database, according to the company. Siemens has also introduced database mirroring capabilities and greater RAID storage capacity as part of its MagicStore Advance and MagicStore P Advance technologies.
