The Axiom Artis dBA Twin, equipped with two 30 by 40-cm flat detectors, debuted at the RSNA meeting, positioned by Siemens Medical Systems as offering the largest anatomical coverage of any biplane system available.

The Artis dBA Twin covers applications from neuroradiology to cardiac and abdominal imaging. The flat-detector biplane technology supports both diagnostic and interventional procedures, visualizing vessels ranging from the common carotid to distal vessels during the venous phase. It also supports pediatric applications where optimal dose reductions are critical, and 3D imaging techniques with its optional syngo DynaCT. This option, which creates CT-like soft tissue images, facilitates the display of organs, vessels, and hemorrhages that enables detection of brain events, such as stroke, as well as supports a broad range of abdominal procedures.
