Pioneer of high-performance handheld ultrasound units SonoSite has been awarded a two-year contract to provide the U.K.'s National Health Service with its SonoSite 180PLUS and the SonoHeart PLUS systems. The NHS is responsible for purchase and supply management of more than 85% of all medical equipment sales in the U.K. The agreement took effect Jan. 1.
