Sony Electronics demonstrated its next-generation FilmStation dry film imager at the RSNA meeting. The second tray of the dual-tray UP-DF550 model supports 8 x 10-inch, 10 x 12-inch, and 11 x 14-inch film sizes, in addition to traditional 14 x 17-inch films.

Sony Electronics demonstrated its next-generation FilmStation dry film imager at the RSNA meeting. The second tray of the dual-tray UP-DF550 model supports 8 x 10-inch, 10 x 12-inch, and 11 x 14-inch film sizes, in addition to traditional 14 x 17-inch films.

The new printer will be accompanied by the single-tray version, UP-DF500, the high-speed UP-990AD, UP-970AD hybrid printers (with both digital and analog interface and full-page gray-scale output), and the recently introduced UP-D77MD for PET/CT, 3D CT, and nuclear medicine modalities, featuring 8 x 10-inch, color dye-sublimation output, and a DICOM interface.
