Varian snags IMRT contract

The Mid Atlantic Group Network (MAGNET) has renewed its agreement with Varian Medical Systems to provide its members with preferred pricing for advanced radiotherapy systems. The contract includes Varian's SmartBeam IMRT (intensity-modulated radiation therapy), a precise form of radiation therapy. Also included are the company's Clinac EX Platinum linear accelerator and Acuity treatment simulators, multileaf collimators and other accessories for radiation therapy, as well as software for planning treatment and managing patient information, brachytherapy systems, and medical imaging systems.
