Holography developer Voxel (Hall A, #4150) has installed the first beta unit of its Voxcam 3-D holography imager at the Department of Veterans Affairs Joint Imaging Service facility at the New Mexico Regional Federal Medical Center. Voxel, of Laguna Hills, CA, completed the installation after its engineers modified a Voxcam manufactured by General Scanning, Voxel's former OEM partner (SCAN 1/22/97). Voxel is recruiting personnel to enable the company to manufacture Voxcams without General Scanning's assistance.
