Acuson enters Latin America distribution

Ultrasound vendor Acusonhas signed a distribution agreement with Sonicon Electronica IndustriaE Comercio Ltda. of Sao Paulo. The agreement is Acuson's firstin Latin America. More are planned, said Judy Barton, internationalmarketing manager.

Brazil is the largest ultrasound market in Latin America, accordingto Barton. Latin America offers Acuson strong growth prospectsin both cardiac and general imaging applications.
