ADAC Healthcare Information Systems has formed a strategic alliance with OptiMed Technologies to provide a cardiac image archive and cardiac catheterization lab information management system.
The new system, called CAATi, already has Food and Drug Administration clearance and is being marketed by Milpitas, CA-based ADAC. It is designed to provide online access to all catheterization procedures and reports from anywhere on a hospital network. Physicians outside the hospital will also be able to access patient information using CAATis Web-based server.
By linking the hemodynamic and procedural information with coronary images, we are able to provide cardiologists immediate access to all catheterization data, said John McAuley, vice president and general manager of ADACs Cardiology Systems Group.
The system also enables echocardiography and general radiography images to be integrated.
