Mobile imaging provider Alliance Imaging announced last week that

it intends to add to its presence in the eastern U.S. with the

acquisition of a mobile MRI firm based in the region. Alliance

of Orange, CA, declined to name the firm pending the close of

the transaction. Alliance did say, however, that the company operates

a half-dozen MRI routes and will increase Alliance's revenues

by almost 10% a year. When completed, the deal will be Alliance's

third acquisition in a year (SCAN 3/27/96 and 9/27/95).
