American Shared Hospital Services of San Francisco announced this month that it completed the sale of its mobile imaging business to Alliance Imaging of Anaheim, CA. The deal closed Nov. 13 after the two companies received clearance to proceed from the Federal Trade Commission and after American Shared stockholders approved the transaction at a special meeting in San Francisco (SCAN 11/11/98).

Alliance paid American Shared $13.5 million in cash from the sale and took on $28.5 million in outstanding debt. With the sale completed, American Shared plans to center its attention on its Gamma Knife radiosurgery and Operating Room of the 21st Century businesses.
