Barco Display Systems of Kortrijk, Belgium, has received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for its MGD521 diagnostic gray-scale workstation. MGD521 can handle 2K x 2.5 K resolution and is designed for diagnostic imaging applications, according to the company.

In other Barco news, the company has named Mike Feinstein U.S. director of sales and marketing. Feinstein joins Barco from a medical system sales position at ultrasound vendor Acuson.
