Emerald Archiving has signed a contract with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) of New York City to digitize two years of radiology films for selected patients in preparation for the opening of the center's Laurance Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion The site, which will provide more than half of MSKCC's outpatient care, will be filmless except for mammography. Emerald, of Niceville, FL, will scan and convert the x-ray films to a DICOM format and import the images into the PACS network.
