Like competitors Bennett X-Rayand Lorad, Fischer will display its work in full-breast digitalmammography. The Denver-based Fischer has marketed its Mammovisiondigital spot mammography device since 1992 (SCAN 10/7/92).

Fischer will have a full-breast digital prototype on the RSNAmeeting floor as a work-in-progress and will show images fromthe system, according to Jean-Pierre Georges, vice president ofmarketing. Fischer also plans to put more emphasis on its Sophiemammography unit, which it outsourced from Planmed of Finland(SCAN 10/6/93). In addition, Fischer has made ergonomic and imagequality improvements to its mid-tier Athena mammography unit.
