Vital Images (Plymouth, MN) and R2 Technology announced at the RSNA meeting a deal to integrate Vital Images' flagship software product Vitrea 2 with R2's ImageChecker CT software for the detection of lung nodules. Under the three-year agreement, the integrated software will be distributed worldwide outside Japan, pending required regulatory approvals. The FDA has not yet approved ImageChecker CT software.
