Imatron launched the HeartScan program in the U.S. in 1994to provide coronary artery disease scanning using Imatron's UltrafastCT scanners. Imatron often markets the services of the clinicsdirectly to the public.
Imatron will adopt a similar strategy in Europe. The companyis in discussions with medical centers in Monte Carlo and Switzerlandas well as in Germany, where a syndicate is interested in openingthree HeartScan centers.
