Article

Digital radiography provider IMIX Americas Inc. will introduce three digital detectors in its expanded line at RSNA 2011.

Digital radiography provider IMIX Americas Inc. will introduce three digital detectors in its expanded line at RSNA 2011.

The new cassette-size digital detectors include two Slimline HD2 panels, which use direct conversation technology to produce ultra-high resolution images, and the IMIX X wireless panel, according to the company. The three detectors address the needs for improved weight, durability, image quality, dose and affordability, the company said.

The Slimline HD2 series uses Amorphous Selenium direct conversion, which creates an X-ray image without scattering light. The IMIX X Wireless, which the company said is the industry's lightest wireless digital detector at 6.3 lbs., is built with a rigid case and double-glass structure to prevent damage, and its ISO 4090-compliant cassette size fits any existing wall stand or bucky tray.
