Breast imaging firm TransScan Research and Development of Ramsey, NJ, landed a heavy hitter this month when it hired former Trex Medical chief executive Hal Kirshner as chairman. Kirshner will lead TransScan’s executive team as the company moves its T-Scan 2000 electrical impedance imaging system to market. T-Scan 2000 received premarket approval from the Food and Drug Administration last month (SCAN 4/28/99).
