Kodak's Q4 sales benefit from Imation

Eastman Kodak's aquisition of Imation's medical imaging business is already yielding dividends. The Rochester, NY, company's Health Imaging segment reported net earnings for its fourth quarter (end-December) of $28 million, which included a $30 million after-tax charge linked to the Imation purchase (PNN 1/99).

Sales for the quarter were $442 million, up $46 million because of the Imation acquisition. The Health Imaging division's full-year net earnings were $205 million, as compared with last year's $213 million.
