Lead Technologies, a provider of imaging developer toolkits, has established a new strategic business unit specifically for the medical imaging market. Medicor Imaging will further develop and market Lead's existing medical products, the Leadtools medical imaging suite. These developer toolkits focus on DICOM standards and other healthcare-specific requirements. Medicor will also offer professional services and consulting. The division will be headed by Gabriel Pislaru and Bruce Dennis, who will both serve as managing directors. Pislaru has been Lead's DICOM development project manager, while Dennis has been a consultant to the company since November.
