Lunar continues to post improvingfinancial numbers. The Madison, WI, company last month reportedsharply higher results for the third quarter of 1994 (end-March).

Total revenues for the quarter increased 21%, to $8 millionfrom $6.6 million in the same period the year before. Net incomefor the quarter jumped 73%, to $2 million compared to $1.2 millionin the second quarter of 1993. The jump in Lunar's financial resultsis due to strong sales of its Achilles line, according to thecompany.

While Achilles is surging, Lunar reported that it has experienceddelays in finalizing the system integration of hardware and softwarefor its Expert high-end bone densitometry system. While severalbeta sites have been successfully installed, the company doesnot expect extensive shipments of Expert during the current fiscalyear.

Lunar is also the exclusive North American distributor forEsaote Biomedica's Artoscan niche MRI system.
