Mallinckrodt last month successfully completed its tender offer for the common stock of Nellcor Puritan Bennett (SCAN 8/6/97). St. Louis-based Mallinckrodt accepted payment for about 59.1 million Nellcor shares representing more than 90% of Nellcor's shares outstanding. Mallinckrodt said it expects to close the deal shortly.
