The Web-based digital imaging storage and communication service for cardiac images replaces the use of CDs to capture and record the angiographic procedures performed in the hospital's two new GE Medical Systems digital cardiac catheterization laboratories. The company's subscription service provides authorized cardiologists and surgeons with the ability to access and review patient records and images at a secure central archive using the Internet.
