Mobile PET Systems of San Diego bought five mobile coaches this month from Calumet Coach of Calumet City, IL. The coaches will accommodate Siemens PET cameras and will provide PET technology to hospitals with insufficient patient volumes to justify the purchase of their own cameras (SCAN 1/20/99). MPET expects the units to be delivered starting in March, with all deliveries complete by the end of the year. The first few mobile systems will be placed in the western U.S., with the remaining units placed across the Midwest and Southeast.
