SOMERSET, N.J., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Netilla(R) Networks, Inc., a leading provider of SSL VPN and secure application access management solutions, today announced the appointment of Bill Lynch as executive director, healthcare solutions. Lynch, who brings a wealth of healthcare sales and marketing experience to his new post, will drive Netilla's efforts to expand its position as the premier SSL VPN vendor in the healthcare market.
"Bringing aboard a seasoned healthcare marketing and sales pro like Bill Lynch underscores our commitment to strengthening our lead in healthcare, which is Netilla's largest vertical market segment," said Reggie Best, president and CEO of Netilla Networks, Inc. "Bill has the proven expertise to sharpen our focus on healthcare and to drive home the unique benefits of Netilla's secure remote access solution."
Lynch joins Netilla from Cerner Corp., a leading clinical IT systems vendor, where he served as regional client executive for new business development. Prior to Cerner Lynch held several executive positions with Siemens Medical Solutions, another major healthcare IT solutions provider. His positions there included director of global marketing for Siemens' e.Health division as well as program owner for marketing all of Siemens' HIPAA solutions. Lynch also served as Siemens' sales manager for new business development with national and multi-regional healthcare providers and federal government accounts. Prior to Siemens, Lynch was vice president, development at Medstar Television, a leading national provider of health and medical news for local TV stations.
"Simple and secure remote access to clinical systems is very quickly emerging as a 'must have' for hospitals and healthcare providers, who at the same time are facing tough budget pressures," said Lynch. "The Netilla Security Platform was engineered from the outset with healthcare in mind. It's the only SSL VPN that can natively support virtually any healthcare application, whether server- or Web-based - and while fully meeting HIPAA security and privacy mandates. And because Netilla is the easiest-to-use of any SSL VPN on the market, we expect that many physicians will demand Netilla-based remote access if their local hospital doesn't already offer it."
Lynch's responsibilities will include working directly with Netilla's 100-plus Certified Solution Providers and forging relationships with healthcare technology vendors to provide a turnkey healthcare bundle. He will also develop healthcare-specific marketing programs with Netilla's distribution channels.
Netilla's extensive healthcare customer base includes leading institutions such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Temple University Health System, Hershey Medical Center, Deborah Heart and Lung, Virtua Health, Commonwealth Health Corp., Children's Specialized Hospital, Lamprey Health Care and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
The Netilla Security Platform has achieved ICSA Labs certification, which required passing its stringent Cryptography Product Certification Program requirements. Netilla offers the broadest range of secure remote application access, including thin-client access to virtually any Windows-, Linux-, UNIX- or mainframe application, as well as access to Web/intranet-based and "fat client" applications. The Netilla Security Platform is available in three versions -- Business-Class, Enterprise Class and Global Class -- to support up to 2,000 concurrent users in a single platform. Netilla's unique dynaTRUST policy-enforcement operating environment authenticates users on the basis of identity, entitlements, environment and client integrity.
