Can a Next-Generation Diagnostic Viewer Improve Efficiency with Radiology Workflows?

Author(s)Jeff Hall

Utilized within the cloud-native Genesis Radiology Workspace, the newly FDA-cleared View reportedly facilitates anytime, anywhere efficiency with seamless access to enhanced visualization and AI-powered tools.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued 510(k) clearance for the View, a next-generation diagnostic viewer that may help address the time-intensive challenges of navigating complex interfaces and slow image downloads.

Offering the promise of remote access to enhanced image visualization and AI tools within a single workflow, GE HealthCare, the manufacturer of the new diagnostic viewer, said the View offers a combination of high-quality 2D and 3D views along with access to a suite of applications for advanced visualization.

Utilized to access the cloud-native Genesis Radiology Workspace, the View may facilitate more rapid turnaround times and reduce the burden of non-interpretive tasks for radiologists, according to GE HealthCare.

“View is designed to meet radiologists wherever they are—providing secure, high‑performance access to diagnostic imaging through a truly cloud‑native experience,” said Scott Miller, the CEO of solutions for enterprise imaging at GE HealthCare. “By removing traditional infrastructure barriers, we’re enabling faster collaboration, greater flexibility, and more streamlined workflows across care teams. View within the Genesis Workspace reflects our commitment to modernizing radiology in ways that support clinicians and, ultimately, improve patient care.”
