Israeli medical imaging developer CMT Medical Technologies has signed an agreement with National Imaging Resources of Birmingham, AL, for distribution of CMTs SmartSpot digital radiography-fluoroscopy and digital angiography products. The deal should help Haifa-based CMT in its effort to expand its horizons beyond the OEM market, which has historically been a mainstay for the company.
CMTs SmartSpot products use a 1K x 1K x 12-bit CCD camera and provide simultaneous acquisition, archiving, viewing, and filming of digital R/F and angio images. Data are saved to hard disk rather than in RAM storage, which increases the systems speed and performance, according to Israel Hakalir, vice president and general manager. CMT introduced SmartSpot last year.
