Hospital supply giant Novation has finalized a sole-source agreement with Eastman Kodak for medical film products and laser printers. Total purchases under the agreement are estimated at $1.4 billion over five years; the effective dates have not been determined.

Kodak has agreed to offer its products online at marketplace@novation.com, the e-commerce portal for VHA and UHC, the national healthcare alliances that formed Novation in 1998. The Novation supply network serves the purchasing needs of 2100 healthcare organizations.

Novation also makes its agreements available to 5200 additional organizations through HPPI, which is owned by VHA and UHC.
