Olicon closes sale of TAP program

PACS vendor Olicon Imaging Systems of Aliso Viejo, CA, has divested its teleradiology archiving program (TAP) and microfilm division to F.Y.I., a document and information outsourcing solutions company. Terms of the deal were not released. Although Olicon officials declined to return calls seeking comment on the sale, the move appears to be in line with the vendor's decision to focus on OEM distribution opportunities with healthcare information systems companies, particularly with partner Shared Medical Systems of Malvern, PA (PNN 12/98).

Dallas-based F.Y.I. will call its new division F.Y.I. Radiology Archiving and Imaging Services.
