IT workflow and communications company peerVue will introduce the integration of voice recognition and reporting to its Quality Intelligence and Communication System (QICS) at RSNA 2011.

The free voice recognition software is based on a custom-developed radiology language model for the Microsoft speech engine API, the company said. The company has enabled the QICS platform to access the speech software through a technological bridge. The change makes all communications across the radiology department VR-enabled.

peerVue debuted QICS, which complements PACS and RIS to fully automate radiology workflow, communication and report creation, at RSNA 2010.
