Primedex Health Systems has completed and closed the sale of its Future Diagnostics subsidiary to Preferred Health Management. The sale of FDI, which arranges for the provision of diagnostic imaging services through a network of contracted imaging centers, did not include the portion of FDI's business that offers radiology management services, however. Those services will now be available through another Primedex wholly owned subsidiary, RadNet Managed Imaging Services.

Through the divestiture of FDI and other moves made earlier this year, Primedex can now intensify its focus upon the development and expansion of its core businesses of radiology practice management, information management systems, and utilization review and management, according to the Los Angeles-based company.
