CADx Medical Systems, CADx Systems, and Qualia Computing are in the legal sights of R2 Technology for allegedly infringing several patents held by the Sunnyvale, CA, company. R2 filed a lawsuit against the three companies Sept. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. The company filed a similar suit against Intelligent Systems Software in June. The most recent suit alleges that the Second Look system manufactured and sold by the defendants infringes three patents held by R2 Technology. CADx chief executive Steve Rogers has denied any wrongdoing by the company and has pledged to continue selling the product, which he said has been "incredibly well received in the marketplace."
