Visitors to the Siemens booth at the Cardiovascular Therapeutics conference Sept. 24 to 28 got the first public glimpse of a combined digital imaging system and magnetic navigation system developed for medical intervention. The combination of Siemens' Axiom Artis dFC Magnetic Navigation Imaging System and Stereotaxis' Magnetic Navigation Systems promises to make catheter-based procedures easier and more accurate. Working under an exclusive partnership, Siemens and St. Louis-based Stereotaxis are trying to develop a fully integrated, image-guided, computerized magnetic navigation and control system (SCAN 7/24/02).
Study Reveals Benefits of Photon-Counting CT for Assessing Acute Pulmonary Embolism
April 23rd 2024In comparison to energy-integrating detector CT for the workup of suspected acute pulmonary embolism, the use of photon-counting detector CT reduced radiation dosing by 48 percent, according to newly published research.
