Irvington, NJ-based SmartPACS has been selected to install a PACS at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, MA. The deal, which is expected to exceed $2 million, will convert the 195-bed community hospital to near-filmless imaging. As part of its SmartPACS ASP, the company will install Fuji CR equipment, diagnostic workstations equipped with Barco Coronis flat-panel monitors, clinical viewing stations, a RAID 5 archive with disaster recovery, and enterprise-wide Web distribution. The installation will integrate CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, digital radiography/fuoroscopy, and special procedures rooms.
