Steel Partners claimed that the defenseis unfair to shareholders, while San Diego-based MICA respondedby stating that the lawsuit is without merit.
The legal jousting occurred as the deadline approached fora special shareholder meeting that Steel Partners called in aneffort to overthrow MICA's board (SCAN 2/14/96). That meetingwas scheduled to take place Feb. 26.
