Two veterans of the networking business, StorageTek and Siemens, are integrating products and services to support high-performance medical image and data archiving. StorageTek products are appearing as part of Siemens Radiology and Cardiology PACS Solutions. Through their technology, the companies offer the ability to share a patient's historical record, even from multiple departments within a healthcare facility, thereby reducing the overall cost of storage.
