Weiss resigns from Lumisys

Lumisys CEO Stephen Weiss has resigned from his post. Weiss, who will continue to be available on a part-time basis to Lumisys through February 1999, left the Sunnyvale, CA-based film digitizer company to focus on working with smaller, privately held, and emerging-growth companies, according to Lumisys.

Weiss will be replaced by chairman Douglas DeVivo, who has held his position since 1992. DeVivo has most recently served as CEO of telecommunications company Verticom and has also worked as a venture capitalist.
