Dictaphone's Healthcare Solutions Group (Stratford, CT) and eMed Technologies (Burlington, MA) announced Dec. 6 a joint marketing and development deal, agreeing to integrate Dictaphone's PowerScribe speech recognition system with eMed's Web-based Ideal Image Management Suite. The result will allow a single desktop workstation to be used by the radiologist from image acquisition and diagnostic reading, through dictation and review of recognized text, to final report editing. The integrated product will be designed to meet the needs of imaging centers and hospital radiology departments.
