The market for medical equipment may be looking up. The ECRI Institute, a nonprofit research and consulting firm, reports a significant increase in requests by its members for medical technology acquisition support, a strong signal the economy may be improving. Hospital research requests typically precede medical capital technology purchases, according to ECRI.
