Emageon has closed an agreement with Hansys Services, a subsidiary of the Healthcare Association of New York State, to provide Web-enabled image archive and distribution services to more than 550 Hansys members. The member facilities will use Emageons Java-based streaming technology to archive DICOM images and to make the images available to referring physicians and other users via the Internet, an intranet, or a virtual private network. Emageons archive is independent of hardware and can be upgraded separately. The Birmingham, AL-based firm uses an ASP pricing model.
