AmeriNet healthcare GPO has signed a four-month contract with Fujifilm Medical Systems for CR equipment. Under terms of the deal, AmeriNet members will have access to Fuji's FCR Preferred CR system and second stand-alone CR units at discounted rates.

Despite the brief contract window, AmeriNet members knew of the impending arrangement 18 months in advance, so they had lead time to plan potential purchases. The contract was effective Oct. 1 and runs through Jan. 31, 2001.
