GE HealthCare Emphasizes New Advances in Breast Ultrasound
The AI tools for the newly launched Invenia ABUS Prime ultrasound platform reportedly facilitate a 40 percent increase in scan speed and up to a 93 percent sensitivity rate for lesion detection in women with dense breasts.
Emphasizing a combination of enhanced breast cancer detection, improved efficiency and greater access to ultrasound imaging, GE HealthCare announced the launch of the Invenia ABUS Prime device and the recently FDA-cleared ABUS StreamVue ultrasound software.
Geared to supplemental screening for women with dense breasts, the
• up to a 40 percent increase in scan speed;
• a cSound™ Imageformer with AI-powered tools that facilitate improved consistency in scan quality; and
• other AI advances that have demonstrated a 33 percent decrease in reading time and up to a 93 percent sensitivity for breast lesion detection.
