InSite One couples image streaming with InDex storage

InSite One has licensed RealTimeImage’s iPACS progressive streaming technology and incorporated it into its own InDex digital image storage and retrieval service, which enables real-time browser-based access to archived lossless DICOM images using LANs, WANs, or dial-up connections. The integration of image streaming capability into InSite One’s InDex service allows clinicians to review and collaborate over any network on diagnostic-quality archived images stored using InDex. The companies debuted their integrated capabilities at the annual meeting of the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators in Nashville earlier this month. RealTimeImage received FDA clearance for iPACS in June 2000.
