Eastman Kodak reported its second quarter 1999 (end-June) results last month. The Rochester, NY, company’s Health Imaging segment reported net earnings for the quarter of $90 million, up 41% from the year before. Sales for the quarter climbed 42% from the previous year to $525 million, which the company attributed to its purchase of Imation’s medical imaging business last year (SCAN 8/19/98). The division’s operations earnings were $127 million, up 34%.
