Global Med unveils disease management software

Global Med, an application service provider focusing on medical IT and data management products, will launch DynaMetric, its new disease management software, at the National Managed Health Care Congress in Atlanta this month. DynaMetric tracks, collects, and compiles data on chronic diseases. Global Med of Lakewood, CO, says its first customer is a regional division of a large HMO, which plans to use the software initially to track a single chronic disease on a per-member per-month fee basis, and eventually to track up to 20 manageable chronic diseases. Global Med is providing the application through its wholly owned subsidiary, PeopleMed.com.
