Toshiba reaches MR milestone
Toshiba America Medical Systems has installed its 800th Vantage 1.5T MR scanner. The system, installed at Elkview General Hospital in Hobart, OK, will be used for orthopedic, neurologic, and abdominal imaging. Administrators at the hospital cited Vantage’s ultra-short bore and noise reducing Pianissimo technology among the reasons for its choice.
Positron cuts distribution deal
Nuclear medicine products, including a PET scanner, built by Positron Corporation join the portfolio of Technology Imaging Services (TSI) as part of a distribution deal signed by the two companies. The agreement allows TSI to sell Positron’s Tech-Assist exposure control dose administration device and its Attrius cardiac-optimized PET scanner. They join TSI’s portfolio of nuclear cardiology, oncology, and cardiac PET products, including ones for setting up hot labs.
