Trex Medical of Danbury, CT, last month signed an exclusive agreement with equipment distributor Chindex International of Bethesda, MD, for the distribution of Trex’s Unicath cardiac catheterization laboratories in China. The first unit sold under the agreement, a Unicath C, was installed at Weifang Hospital, a 500-bed teaching facility, and is the first cardiac cath lab in Weifang. The purchase was financed through a loan with China’s Ministry of Public Health and was guaranteed by the U.S. Export Import Bank.
